The only thing that could cause this is a loss of power. This doesn't
necessarily have to mean that it went all the way out of power....I can just
mean that either something went wrong with it and it somehow got
disconnected from it's power source (ex. loose battery cable) or the power
got drained so low that there was nothing left in the battery to keep the
memory up on the PPC!

how about poorly written software???? i have not hard reset my 2210 since i
got it (about 6 months ago). however, one hour after i installed a freeware
program....(a task manager that ends programs rather than suspending them),
my iPAQ hard reset itself while sitting on the cradle... never happpened
before and has not happened again since i deleted the program.

There isnt a reserve amount of battery power that will not drain, that
keeps some juice for the memory?
