macross sir, macross.

[citation][nom]eddieroolz[/nom]I'm sorry to Hasbro but I did not connect the Transformers series to the tablet name. Not at all.[/citation]

Sadly, I could never connect any of the recent "Transformers" movies or series with the Transformers I knew ...

Maybe Sunbow & Marvel should be the ones suing Hasbro / Michael Bay for blackening the belovedTransformers name on this CGI garbage of messed up models that would be more suited to the name Trashformers.

[citation][nom]phasmantis[/nom]Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I thought there was no way ASUS would make such a bold move in its naming process and not clear it with Hasbro. I see where Hasbro is coming from with this, because I made the link the first time I heard of the Transformer Prime. Honestly, I think ASUS is going to lose this one, and this may be the first legit copyright infringement I've seen in a while.[/citation]

Some of the people here are obviously thiefs who have no respect for the copyright of others. This is why you are seeing so many comments attacking Hasbro on this forum.

Kind of sad that the author of the article, nor the editor, knows the difference between trademarks and patents... especially for a tech blog

Hmm lets see the article actually mentions Trademark twice. It's really sad that you dont know the difference between the two. A Trademark uses that little R in the circle next to names like Sony, Microsoft, Apple, a Copyright uses a C in a circle, and a Patent just uses Pat or Patent in front of a bunch of numbers.

But here guys use these link to figure out the difference between a Copyright, Trademark/Servicemark, and Patent:

http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-the-difference-between-a-copyright-trademark-and-patent.htm
http://www.uspto.gov/patents/resources/general_info_concerning_patents.jsp

Take your pick they all say pretty much the same thing with the last one using a bit more legal jargon.

[citation][nom]tuch92[/nom]If the word transformer wasn't a made up word I'd get the lawsuit, but I'd say it's a stretch at best. [/citation]
How is the word "transformer" made up? Transformers have been around a lot longer than the "Transformers" have been. How do you think you think you get power to your house?
