I'm buying a laptop for gaming. I was thinking about a Sagar NP8255 laptop from Xoticpc. Wondering if a AMD hd-8970m and a 4th gen intel i-7 4700mq is enough to play Skyrim(with alot of mods) and wii games on Dolphin Emulator in1080p? or do I need to upgrade it to a 780m? Aprreciate your help!

P.S. I don't need 60 fps, constantly above 20 will be enough for me. I'm used to low fps due to my crappy computers.

Oh I would say that an 8970m will do you quite well. I would be shocked to find you only getting 20Fps.
Its the equal of a desktop 7870 with a lower clock, or a 7850 with a high overclock. I question how much better if any the 780m would be.

It does seem to be a little better than the 8970, but personally I would just stick with the AMD.
Honestly for mobile gaming you are just an inch from the best you can be. If it saves $100 I would go ahead with it.

Thanks, I'm not that worried about skyrim, it's dolphic I'm worried about. I read this form where someone said a 7970 ghz edition can't even run dolphic full on 1080p. And budget is seriously not a big problem. If 8970m is enough, I will get 2 extra 120 gb mSATA ssd and raid them, but I'm willing to give it up for a 780m if I have to.

If that is the case, are you sure it works on Nvidia graphics?
If so then there is just a major compatibility issue that thing has with AMD graphics and you are right to go with the PC with the 780M. I would personally check first that it works on Nvidia graphics cards though.

Vanilla Skyrim can run on any GPU that's even 1/2 way decent , it was designed for consoles afterall. ( see Bethesda , Nvidia etc ) It is very CPU dependent on a PC for several reasons including that it uses an engine called Papyrus running in VR ( VM if you prefer ).
I ran it on ultra with an old nvidia 550 with no issues.

Since then Ive modded the game out to 86 gigs mostly @4k texture resolutions. For this I slapped in a Radeon 7950 and a HyperX SSD. CPU is the same old girl ; AMD 965 Black edition . runs @ 55-60 FPS solid as bedrock.

Thanks for your in depth incites into the game shodouban.
Since the laptop you are considering is probably the most powerful in any laptop, you should be fine.
