Hd tv problems vertical bar

Hello, there's a vertical about 2-3 inch faint white/gray bar going down the middle of my HD samsung tv. What is it and is there any way to remove it?

If you unhook your cable from the tv and it persists, call for service: you likely have a bad panel. If it goes away by unhooking the cable/antenna/cable box, you have a grounding issue at the point-of-entry to your dwelling.
