hdmi says it's unplugged

So I've been trying to watch Netflix from my Laptop to my TV, plugged in HDMI from Laptop to TV, but it will not play sound to the TV. I already tried going into playback and control panel. All says it's working properly. The only thing playback says is that HDMI cord is unplugged but it's not. HELP!!!!

The High Definition driver might not be installed properly in your laptop. You can download and install the latest driver from the manufacturers website. Once installed do reboot your PC for the latest driver to install properly.
