Will my dell 1525 inspiron laptop be able to deliver live streaming to my sharp lc42ct2e full hd tv using hdmi cable? Can anyone answer me this? I'm on windows vista.
i read on one retailers product description that Sharp lc42ct3e full hd 1080p 42" lcd tv had a No written as an answer to whether this tv accepted live streaming or not. Can anyone tell me if this is definitely correct. I'm waiting for delivery of this tv. Only one retailer wrote this on their description.
The TV may not have live streaming but your laptop connected to the internet and then to the TV will definitly stream.
Streaming is sending movies etc thru internet to a computer, playstation, disk player etc.. A new feature for TV's is an ethernet or wireless connection to your internet provider. If you have that then the TV will stream.
i have just read on sharp's website that some sharp cash registers and tv's have hardware installed before windows vista began. The pc link from these devices doesnt work with windows vista, though i believe this tv being a hdtv with freeview hd built in is surely a tv released after the birth of windows vista. I think a chat with sharp's technician on the number they gave will answer me this, and the chances are i'm going to be o.k. with this tv. Thank you mhel1
I received my sharp lcd tv, hooked my dell 1525 laptop to it using the hdmi into one of the hdmi ports on the tv. Alternating through the source channels eg. av ext 1 ext2 hdmi 1, 2, and 3 s video, vga, and more and got no picture on my lcd tv. Only a blue screen on each hdmi channel. Would there be any add ons or requirements needed for my laptop to stream live video to my tv?
p.s. my tv does have n ethernet slot on the back, LAn i believe this is the same but not wireless, i presume an ethernet cable from my modem to tv would introduce the video from my laptop to my tv.

my laptop is 60 hz and tv 50 hz, my tv resolution is 1080p and my laptop does not have such a high res. will 768 res show on my tv screen if i set this on my laptop? my laptop is on a wireless connection to broadband, my tv is not. will a cable still work from pc to tv?
