Headphone audio on phone is loud, quiet on PC.

When I plug my new Sennheiser HD439 headphones into my phone and play music at max, the volume is very loud (which is to be expected as the volume is maxed). When I plug them into my computer though, the audio is very quiet, even with everything maxed. This didn't happen with my old headphones which were Sennheiser HD280. Any idea

You may have them in the wrong port on the computer, check it. And check the control panel for volume other than the default system volume, and the player you are using.
