Headphones wont show up when they are connected?!?!

I spent the whole night finding a solution to this problem, I have my headset plugged in the the rear port of my pc because the front ports are broken. (2x3.5mmJacks and 1xUSB) It is almost like my headset is being ignored by my computer... I have tried to use realtek hd audio manager but it wont let my open it.

I dove down into the problem and found out the reason why, my computer thinks that my headset is speakers. So it shows up as speakers not headphones. When I unplug my headset wire, it says Speakers(Not Plugged In). This is all very confusing, thank you for even replying. Please help me some more.
