Solved! Headset Splitter

So i've bought 2 DIFFERENT headsets both of them require a splitter to work, so they both came with one. I've tried both headsets and both the same problem. I can hear perfectly fine, but when I try to talk, i get no audio of myself when im listening to the device BUT when i go to listen to my device again but have a video or music playing in the backround, i head that come through my microphone device. Is there something wrong with 2 different headsets, 2 different y spliters, my computer or am i just not setting it up properly?
