Headset without Microphone Latency

Bought a pair of Steelseries Arctis 5 and returned them immediately, after learning about the 0.5 seconds delay, when hearing your own voice. I have never had this issue with Razer or Logitech. Is it a common flaw in gaming headset theese days? Is it somehow possible, prior to buying a new headset, to learn which headsets has this kind of latency ?

If these were USB-connected headsets, this could be the issue.

Have a decent on-board or PCIe sound card, and get analogue headsets.

Short answer, don't use USB mic's. Your on board will process your voice better every time.
