Help ! Best laptop with i3 2nd gen under $500

hi guyz ... just as the title states, im looking for a laptop (brand new) which has a 2nd gen i3 with intel hd 3000 .... my main purpose for buying this laptop is running hackintosh .... the battery life must be 2.5hrs + and the screen size should not be more than 15.6 inch ( i would prefer between 13 to 14 inch) also it should have atleast one usb 3.0 port ..also any other suggestions with better configs are most welcome ....also if u can find any laptop with the matching above config under $450 and less, it would be great !.. thanks in advance

hey thanks man ! but i noticed that none of the laptops mentioned have a usb 3.0 port !!??!! that is my main concern .... also if anyone of u could suggest a 14inch model under $500 ??

How about a 15.6" Asus "Ultrabook"? It's so new that apparently Asus does not even list it on their site yet. It's not really an ultrabook since ultrabooks are technically not supposed to have an optical drive.

Newegg.com does not list what type of USB it has, but according to Tigerdirect at one of them is USB 3.0. But unfortunately you are going to have to settle on the newer Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics instead of the older HD 3000. Yes, sometime more performance can be a burden.

hey thanks for the reply ! i would definetly go for the asus !! since i have 3 days left to purchase my laptop, im open to more suggestions ..... if you could find anything for under $450, that WOULD BE GREAT !!! thanks anyway this forum rocks

If you are not looking for Intel processor and can settle for AMD processor then go for Acer V3 Laptop

It got A8-4500M processor running at 1.9 GHz with 4 MB Cache
AMD Radeon HD 7640G Graphics packing 512MB of graphics system memory
4 GB DDR3 RAM.
500 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive

All this for $429.
