Help choosing a laptop.

Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a laptop tonight and I'm stuck between 2 which are

http/www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX40209

and

http/www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX40212

I will be using it for watching movies, surfing the internet, university work, some programming and a little bit of gaming if I've time. I'd like to not have to replace my laptop for 3 years. I've two external hard-drives so the difference in storage doesn't really sway me.

Or would these laptops be overkill for what my needs are?

for gaming i would go with the amd solution

personally i would buy from amazon or newegg as i trust them much more
