Help choosing cell phone with excellent 3g reception

I work part time in a country with only 3g cell service. The remainder of my time is in the USA and Canada with 5g of course. I currently have a Pixel 8a which has awful 3g reception and not great GPS either. Can anyone recommend a dual sim cell phone, Android, with excellent 3g reception? You would honestly be better off buying an older, used device from the 3G era to use while in that area. Something like an old Samsung Galaxy S9/S10 even a Google Pixel 4/5.

Good advice. My old Pixel 3 and later 5 worked great. However I am trying to use one phone.
