Hi all,

I've narrowed down my choices to

1.) XG Action 9000 (Compal FL90, same as Sager NP2090) from Xtreme Gear
DISPLAY LCD: 15.4" WXGA TFT LCD Display Max: 1280x800 Pixels
CPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Mobile T7500 Dual-Core Processor @ 2.20GHz 800FSB 4MB L2 Cache 64-bit
MOTHERBOARD: NVIDIA PM965 + ICH-8M Chipset Mainboard
MEMORY: 2GB (2x1GB) PC5300 DDR2-667 SODIMM Memory (Corsair or Major Brand)
VIDEO CARD: Built-in NVIDIA Mobile 8600GT 512MB Video
HARD DRIVE: 160GB 5400RPM SATA150 HARD DRIVE
OPTICAL DRIVE: 8X DVD REWRITABLE DRIVE
SOUND: BUILT-IN AC 97 SOUND

At $1004 with rebate (or $962 if I chose the T7250 2.0GHz processor) Cyberpower has a similar one maybe 40 bucks more, but it seems like Xtreme gear and Cyberpower are really the same company?

2.)Xplorer X5 5850 (MSI MS-163A)
DISPLAY LCD: 15.4" WXGA TFT LCD Display 1280x800 Pixels
CPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Mobile T7500 Dual-Core Processor @ 2.20GHz 800FSB 4MB L2 Cache 64-bit
MOTHERBOARD: Intel PM965 + ICH-8M Chipset Mainboard
MEMORY: 2GB (2x1GB) PC5300 DDR2-667 SODIMM Memory (Corsair or Major Brand)
VIDEO CARD: Built-in NVIDIA GeForce GO 8600M-GT 512MB Video
HARD DRIVE: 160GB 5400RPM SATA150 HARD DRIVE
OPTICAL DRIVE: 8X DVD REWRITABLE DRIVE
SOUND: BUILT-IN AC 97 SOUND

At $937 or 897 w/T7250 2.0Ghz

or
3.)The Dell Vostro 1500
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7250 (2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB/2MB cache)
Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition
15.4 in Wide Screen XGA+LCD Display w/TrueLife™
2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz, 2 DIMM
160GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
8X CD/DVD Burner w/ double-layer DVD+R write capability, w/ Roxio Creator
256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8600M GT
Dell Exclusive MediaDirect™ Instant Play Software Application
Dell Wireless 1395 802.11g Wi-Fi Mini Card, Windows®XP OS Only
No Webcam Option

I think I'm leaning towards the 1st two, but dont know if the Compal or MSI is better, and whether I should go with Cyberpower or Xtreme-gear(although the are the same?).

Well, considering my current experience with Cyberpower, I would avoid them. I placed my order almost 20 days ago and the shipping date has come and gone, yet my laptop is still not built yet. If you can get the same computer somewhere else... do it.

Hi :)

You realise this thread is 6 years old lol ?

All the best Brett :)
