Help, Don't want to use Earbud Microphone.

I recently bought the Skullcandy Ink'd Earbuds, and they have a mic built into it. I really don't want to use the mic on the headphones and would rather use the ones built into my laptop (its like really weak and at max boost it isn't loud enough.)
My Computer doesn't to recognize that they are plugged in, like when I check devices nothing different is there.
Is there some way for me to use my laptop microphone for speaking and the audio to go through my earbuds?

With your ear buds plugged in, right click the volume icon at the bottom right of your screen
Click playback devices
Right click on your ear buds (might be called skull candy or headphones)
Set as default playback device

Now click on the recording tab
Select your laptop microphone
Right click it and set that as default recording device
Apply settings and exit.

The thing is, when i plug the ear buds in it doesn't show a new device. It just says speakers, like how default laptop stuff is. The same for the Microphone.

Maybe it is disabled. Open the playback devices like from above, right click inside the windows and show disabled devices.
Then repeat the above steps
