So I am looking to buy a new laptop, and I would really like to find one that can handle gaming. I don't need one that can max out everything, though I would like to get something that is comparable to next gen consoles. I need it to be mobile for school, (hence a laptop as opposed to a desktop), and my price range is about $1,000. I've been looking at a Gigabyte P2542G-CF3, but I'm really not that knowledgeable about the inner-workings of computers, so I would really appreciate some help.

If you want to get the better graphics they are right. If you wish to pay a little less,

Just wanted to let you know there are other options. Even the cheapest one listed here will perform wonderful. Graphics should be comparable to next gen gaming consoles, processor is better, and plenty of ram and everything. The price increases are well justified as they go up in price, and you get a suitable upgrade for every dollar you put in, however if you would like to go cheaper it is available.

Like I said in the first post the Y510p is the best choice. GT 750m SLi is faster than a GTX 765m, and also it is a well known brand.
