Help....its urgent

Hello, i have toshiba satellite laptop. whenever i plug charger to my laptop, it hangs & then i have to press the power button to shut it down. i can work on my laptop only when its not plugged for charging. please provide me with a solution...

I don't know what the problem is so a solution might be wishful thinking.
Will your laptop run on AC power with the battery removed?

Can you explain why this is urgent?
It sounds to me like your laptop is working normally on the battery.

i can't work on my laptop with its charging on... i have project to do for that i need to work on laptop all the tym... this problem is is causing me lots of trouble.. i have to fully charge my lappy so that i get complete 2 hrs to work...then again charge for 2 hrs...
trust me its not a gud feeling...!!!!!

try removing the battery and running it off mains alone.

what model is it, how old?

it could be a faulty battery.
