Help make my PC VR ready!

So I have a semi-decent gaming rig right now however it has come to the point where it is outdated in terms of VR. Later this summer I plan buying the HTC Vive and must prepare my rig for when that time comes. Here are my current specs.

GeForce GTX 770 (GTX 1070 or 1080??)

I5-4750 Quad core 3.53 GHz (Suggestions???)

8gb hyper x fury ddr3 (suggestions??)

Biostar Mobo (msi 970?)

Coolers(??)

My budget not including the headset itself is around 600 dollars (considering the HTC Vive is $800 brand new).

Any suggestions would be appreciated, I'd rather upgrade than buy a whole new rig.

I may need a new case since the 1070/80 is huge correct?

Upgrading the graphics card should be enough. The CPU is pretty much good enough, as is the memory etc.

The size of a GTX 1070 or 1080 depends on which version you buy, so you'll have to look at the specs of each card and compare with your case.

Only thing Sakkura left out is that many older computers don't have enough USB 3.0 ports. Rift+Touch needs at least 2 available USB 3.0 ports, plus two additional USB 2.0 ports. Also certain older USB chipsets do not play nice with Rift, so even if you have the right number of 3.0 ports they might not be fully compatible.
