Both of them have thunderbolt 3, but only the alienware has the tobii eye-tracking. If you guys can let me know your opinions and advices on these products and help me choose, that'll be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Greetings, Yoyoyo:

They're basically identical on all the important counts, so which do you prefer: 4 GBs of more RAM in the Dell OR the added connectivity of a miniDP in the MSI?

Personally, I'd choose the MSI with a miniDP since it will allow me to hook up an external monitor running at enhanced resolutions (3K/4K). This will not add to your gaming experience per se, but it will give you significantly enhanced viewing for everything else, e.g. standard internet browsing and light photo editing.

Cheers,
GreyCatz.

Thanks for your reply GreyCatz. The alienware also has mini display port actually.

Here's the list of the alienware ports:
1. Type-A SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Port | 2. RJ-45 Killer Networks e2400 Gigabit Ethernet Port | 3. Mini-Display Port 1.2 (certified) Output | 4. HDMI 2.0 Output | 5. Thunderbolt™ 3 Port (USB Type-C™ with support for SuperSpeed USB 10Gbps, 40Gbps Thunderbolt, and DisplayPort) | 6. Alienware Graphics Amplifier Port | 7. Power/DC-in Jack | 8. Noble Lock port (cable and lock sold separately)| 9. Type-C SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Port | 10. Type-A SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Port with PowerShare technology | 11. Headphone 1/8" Port (retaskable for Microphone/Line-In analog audio input) | 12. Audio Out 1/8" Ports (Compatible with inline mic headset)

I guess I was just wondering if the Tobii eye-tracking, bigger ram, better SSD, and the graphics amplifier feature will make up for the $100 difference between them ($1362 alienware vs $1249 msi). I know the deal in newegg has expired, but my friend said he can hook me up with that same laptop, brand new condition, for $1249. Please lemme know u guys' opinions. Appreciate it.

OK, I missed that. In that case, the Dell certainly becomes more attractive, and if your buddy can get the price down to $1.249, by all means go for the Dell. (Something tells me you've got your mind set on it anyway.)

Happy gaming,
GreyCatz.
