Mostly for website surfing like i am today with 11 tabs open and news videos, youtube playing, along with streaming from netflix and hulu with occasional document writing. My son also plays games online. And no, I don't want a small netbook. I would like a 17" laptop lol. Thanks so much for responding!

Personally - I would spent an extra $100 and get this one:

I have owned 3 HP laptops - all lasted a long time - used for both work and play. The processor/RAM combination of this one should get you a few more years of usefulness out there....and the performance will be higher than the others you selected.
