Ok so I want a gaming laptop, but I do not want to burn my wallet. I found this one for $1200 it says deactivated but that means it is out of stock. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230214

Here are min. requirements

- any i7 processor
- 500gb hard drive
- bluetooth and wifi
- Nvidia graphics card needs to play bf3 on high but if it is a good bit cheaper I can settle for medium and at least 1.5 gb of VRAM
- 1920 x 1080
- backlit keyboard
- 6gb of RAM
- 17" screen preferred but i can deal with 15" for the right price

Looking to spend $600-$900 post if it is less than $1200. All open for ideas. Thanks :sol:

for $130 less I would rather get the one I picked out because it has a blu ray drive, a better graphics card and a 17.3 in screen.

Thank you though.. I might consider it.

BF3 on high means at least a 560m. That, an i7, backlit keyboard, and everything else means an Asus G-series.

You need to let up a little on your requirements or bring more money to the table. Running the most demanding game on a 17" screen at 1080p with a shiny backlit keyboard and an i7 that you don't even need for $600-$900 just isn't going to happen =\ If you would compromise on an i5 at 900p there's this Qosmio for $1150, or if you were willing to go down to a 15" i5 without a backlit keyboard and running BF3 on medium, you could get this HP dv6t and actually be in budget.

A 3GB Nvidia Geoforce GTX 560m is more than capable of playing BF3 on High Maintaining over 30 fps per second. Why don't you look at the specs next time.

All the best josiahshade

P.S. I have talked to you before and Brett you seem to get your info on graphics cards in laptops wrong alot. For example you said you cannot play BF3 on ultra on any laptop. I found a laptop where xoticpc.com will put in Nvidia Geoforce GTX Dual 580ms SLI. http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np9270-clevo-p270wm-p-3595.html?wconfigure=yes
and yes 2 Nvidia Geoforce GTX 560m's will play bf3 on ultra. You can also do this with an Alienware mx18

Guessing you're talking about the Qosmio? My mistake, the Qosmio is $1050, not $1150, so the Qosmio is $200 cheaper.

Hi :)

I sell high end lappies in my shops and hes not getting an AMX18 for $1200 lollll..add another $800 or so and he might although its a bit of an old model nowdays....but its not in his budget...as I said...

And I dont LOOK on sites for specs, we test our gaming lappies with ACTUAL games...

All the best Brett :)
