Hi all,

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Z500. It is a very powerful machine that I've had for four months.

It has a very slim profile and my problem is that overall build of the laptop feels flimsy.

The lid doesn't close fully, there's flex in the screen (not too much but irritating for me), touchpad has a plastic cling film like cover which is tearing off and feels really bad to use and the machine feels like it'll break apart if I hold it tight.

What should or can I do for these? It cost me a premium to get the performance I want in a slim form factor but the build definately does not feel premium.

Can I get a hard cover or something?? Or should I take the laptop for a replacement??

Ok, I'll use my debit card to remove the covering on the touchpad. That will work right?

Still the flexing of the screed concerns me.
