Help me pick a laptop! [Ubuntu]

1. What is your budget?

Less than 2k

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?


3. What screen resolution do you want?

IPS is a must. Would love 4k, but 1080p would be fine.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

Sort of, I will need to run a few VM's on it. But nothing crazy.

5. How much battery life do you need?

4 hours minimal.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

No games. But might do a bit of graphics work. Really light work there though.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

Primarily coding, some photo editing (cropping/transforming size).

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

128Gb-512Gb PCIe SSD

2-3 years probably, maybe more.

Lol, optical drives.

I love asus products with a passion. I also am a fan of lenovo businessy laptops/desktops.

System 76 Serval - A bit bulky and on the expensive side. However would come with all the features needed.
