It could be that ur Galaxy is not unlocked and therefore would not work with a cricked sim card if it's originally not cricket. If it is unlocked or originally a cricket phone, than it could be that you have an outdated sim card that would not work. You should probably get a new sim card, wich is usually $25, (sometimes waved) if your going thru a certain company, if the phone is not locked than just use whatever carrier you want too and buy the sim card used for that carrier and phone, if it's locked than unless you can get a unlock code your going to have to use whatever carrier the phone is "locked" too.
