Hi Guys,

I am planning to buy a laptop out of these three for routine work and most of the time gaming (NFS, COD, BF, Tomb Raider, Splinter Cell, FIFA etc):

1) Dell Inspiron 5537, Core i7 4500U 1.8GHz, 8GB DDR3 RAM, AMD Radeon HD8850M 2GB GPU

2) HP Pavilion 15-E033TX, Core i7 4702MQ 2.2GHz, 4GB DDR3 RAM, AMD Radeon HD8670M 2GB GPU

3) HP Envy 15-J039TX, Core i7 4700MQ 2.4GHz, 8GB DDR3 RAM, Nvidia Geforce GT 740M 2GB GPU

I my self am interested in buying HP Envy 15-J039TX but i dont know about its GPU nvidia GT 740M that whether its 64bit or 128bit. A help in this regard will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Definetly go for
1) Dell Inspiron 5537, Core i7 4500U 1.8GHz, 8GB DDR3 RAM, AMD Radeon HD8850M 2GB GPU

8670M and 740M cards can perform okay with games, but 8850M will perform 30-40% more depending on the titles.

Going with HP Envy 15-J039TX will not hurt either. if you can give us more info ,about why are you willing to go with HP envy will let us point you in the right direction.

Well actually i want a laptop which i can use at home for some routine work like microsoft office, internet browsing but my emphasis is on gaming.........i want a laptop that can run latest games on medium to high graphic details. I have selected the above mentioned three laptops because the place where i live, these three are the only options available to me. So now if you can help me in this regard!!!!!!!!!!! :)

okay where do you live and from which site you selected this laptops?

its hard to filter the models in that website, but i looked for the known models but cant find anything better than the Dell one you already picked up.

I say take the Dell one.

Thanks alot............but i have also heard that Dell 5537 has some issues with GPU........like games always tend to run on Intel HD Graphics instead of Radeon 8850...........also on many forums i have seen people writing that drivers of said GPU also donot recognise HD8850 as if its not even there...................What do you say????????? Is that true??????????

I dont have hands on experience with that model.
but I dont think it will be a issue. As the nvidia drivers has the option to manually select the GPU for a particular game. For every laptop u can always find someone complaining about the laptop though.

So its upto you, if you doubt it so much then walk into a retail store and check it by yourself.
