Help Picking A Laptop

Hello,
I am new to Toms Hardware and Toms Guide (My friend suggested it to me). I am looking for a new laptop and need some help picking one. I will be using it to play World Of Tanks, War Thunder, and some Minecraft. I will also need to have multiple applications open so the more cores the better. Here is a list of what is important to me:
- Windows 8 (I can do Ubuntu if possible)
- 4GB + Of RAM
- 1 TB HDD
- DVD Drive (Optional but preferred)
- Ethernet Port (Optional but preferred)
- Decent Battery Life
- Under $700 (I can go a little out of budget)
- No Touchscreen Or 2 in 1 (Although, I might be able to live with a touchscreen)
- Screen Size >13"
