So, I got these earbuds from my Samsung Note 5 box. They came with it. My headset broke, so I decided to use them for my PC. They are earbuds with a built-in mic. Now heres my problem. I don't have any sort of splitter. I have 2 audio jacks on my PC, one for Audio and one for Mic. If I plug it into the Audio, it only works for audio. If I plug it into the mic jack, it only works for mic. I need them to work for both at once. Also, under the volume mixer/recording/playblack devices, they dont show up. Please help.

Solution
You will need an audio splitter: 1 Female to 2 Male.

Something like this:

There are other sites and sources as well.

I say "something" because there is some dependency on the exact wiring of the earbuds/mic. Look at the plug; are there 3 sections (TRS) or 4 sections (TRRS)?

Here is a link with some explanation:

Hopefully a standard adapter will work - but if not then then you will at least have some insights as to why the adapter may not have worked.

If you can - purchase to be returnable....
