Help with my Dell XPS laptop please!

I have a Dell XPS M170 laptop and a 150watt charger and my Dell says "Charger not recognized, press F1 to shutdown. People have told me you can press, i think, F3 to bypass it, but nothing happens. Please help!

Hi,

I'm really sure if you can use a 150W charger with your laptop since it should only use 130W instead. Do try removing the battery and connect just the AC adapter and see if it would still get stuck at that message. If it does I would suggest replacing the AC adapter with a more compatible one like this.
