Help with soundbar

I have a smart TV with a DVR and bluray player. All worked fine till I added a soundbar. Used HDMI to connect the DVR and bluray to the soundbar, then connected the TV to the soundbar via HDMI ARC. All work great except there’s no sound or video when switching to use the DVR. The TV, bluray and soundbar are all Sony 2015 models so I think the problem is the Verizon DVR. Thanks.

Try connecting the DVR directly to the TV. Select the ARC input on the soundbar. If that works you can connect the bluray to the TV directly too
