I've recently started to try and get an old desktop computer going for my son to use for school reports.
Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe
Athlon 64 X2
Chipset Type: NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI
2gb RAM
HD Seagate Momenius 5400 160gb
HD Seagate Barracuda 7200 320gb
Graphics: NVidia 9500gt

I have been unsuccessful in repairing a few other HDD I had so I figured I had nothing to lose and tried the 160gb HDD I had from an HP 32bit laptop that was beond repair. It worked and booted up WindowsVista.
Now when I look under system its still showing the HP. Is their anyway to convert the OS to 64 bit? Or does anyone else have any suggestions other than buying a new CPU? I would really appreciate any help.
Thanks So Much

Solution
If ur CPU supports a 64bit Version the only way to upgrade from the 32bit version is to make a clean install of the OS in 64bit. To do so create a Bootable device (DVD or USB-Stick) and boot from that device.
