Hdd support capacity

I have a hp envy15 k-204tx. It has cori7 5th gen. 4gb nvidia graphics. 8gb DDR3 ram. I currently have a 240gb sandisk ssd in my main hdd slot. I have bought a hdd caddy to replace my optical-drive with, i would like to know if I can add another 2tb hdd through it.

It should technically work. I had one in my optical drive but the caddy i purchased didn't fit correctly so had to break it down so it would fit, meaning it wasn't secure enough to carry around with me without risk of the hdd falling out. My laptop is 5 year old hp envy m6 so i'm sure it'll work without problems.
