I'm working on my old Acer Aspire 5517 series laptop and i was trying to boot up a usb with windows 10 on it and it kept giving me the prompt check cable connection PXE-MOF : Existing Intel PXE ROM, I don't understand why it is giving me this error, my boot order is correct as I was able to run DBAN earlier today

That message is one of the possiblities for a successful boot and it would be by the network. The system got through all the other options to get to it and that means the boot option you wanted wasn't working properly or ready. Try another USB port and go into BIOS and make that port top of the list of boot options.

How did you make a bootable USB drive? If that isn't set up properly, it would be reason for the failure. Rufus is the go-to utility for that job.
