I think it will take a lot more time for the technology to mature.
In the meantime, for the past three days the Wall Street Journal has been running full page ads featuring the journal in the iPad. Lots of articles in national and local newspapers about apps for the iPad.
I can't for the life of me see how this is going to work. Nokia's strengths revolve around making highly crunchy equipment (n900). Touchscreen tablets are not good for people that want really crunchy stuff. History has already shown that with the generally universal failure of touchscreen systems with standard OS's. They are simply too clumsy for much more than the toy-esque iPad style system.
