yes you can expand, but first you have to know how many ram sticks it has. if it has 2 you have to buy two 4gb ram sticks, if it has only one you have to buy a 8gb ram stick. but remember desktop rams and laptop rams are different. so be sure to buy the same type of ram which you have now.
