Hi,I am getting a budget gaming laptop and need some advice.
I've narrowed it down to 2 choices.

I'm going to mostly play older or less intensive games like Garry's Mod, Team Fortress 2 or The Escapists, but I'm also going to try some newer games like Just Cause 3 or Assassins Creed Syndicate. Which would be the best for me?

the intel i5(although only a dual core) with gt 940 will offer better performance and would be my preferance. however wont suffice for latest games like assasin creed syndicate , just cause 3 or any other . you may have playable fps on low settings ! decent specs for the money though!

On Game-Debate when I checked it said the nvidia laptop could run Just Cause 3 on Medium to high. Is that not the case?

that may be so however you will never now till you try, notebook check has a conducted several tests with various gt 940m laptops and results vary, as you can see. in general what i make out is will straggle with latest games. the point is you can hardly get a better laptop with such money.
