Tell us more. What kind of RAM? What kind of computer?

At the worst case you can probably swap out your RAM for high capacity modules but we need to better understand what you're trying to do. Most machines can have more memory, but the type of RAM you need to buy needs to match the other components in the system, and if you just adding not replacing RAM then you need to match your existing RAM very carefully.
