I thought of buying a latop with AMD Phenom Quad Core.....is it a good idea?

Currently,buying laptops with Intel core i CPUs is better because they're faster,offer less power consumption and heat

Likely it's a very low clocked quad core. You would be better off with a faster dual core imo. Look at i3 and i5.
