So, I've got an MSI Apache Pro-004 GE62 Laptop PC with an Intel Core i7-6700HQ Processor, 16GB Memory, 1TB Hard Drive, and so far it has run everything I've given it like a dream. However, this is the first computer I've ever owned personally, so I've been checking the temperature a lot.
It idles at 47-50 degrees Celsius, which I figured was fine but others have recommended 45 or so Celsius as a good idle temperature, and that as a rule of thumb not to rise above 60 degrees Celsius.
When I play some of the more intensive games I have, The forest, for example, it generally shoots up to about 70 degrees C. I'm not covering any of the side vents or anything, so is this out of the ordinary for a laptop like this? I'm sure it is within the processor's maximum safety range, but jacking up the heat still isn't the best for it. I've had the laptop for a few days, if that means anything.
Am I doing something wrong?
Edit: I suppose it should be noted that, as this is only the first computer of my own, I am not as well endowed with knowledge here as I could be. Perhaps the temperatures are perfectly fine and I'm merely making a mountain out of a molehill.
