Hoping to be able to play the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt at Ultra settings, but, while my PC specs meet the recommended requirements, I've heard those are only for playing in mid-to-high settings. Does anyone know if these specs would be enough, and if not, what should I upgrade for maximum performance.

MY SPECS:
AMD FX 6300 (Six core) at 3.5 GHz
8 GB RAM
Nvidia 780 GTX with 3.00 GB Video RAM
Windows 8 (64 Bit)

Solution
sury u can run the game at nice settings

but the game recomends a fx 8350 an 8 core cpu urs is only a 6 core one

due to the massive open world its might show some very little bottle neck since gtx 780 is enough for it @ 1080 60 fps recomended by developer

your ram is 8 gb no problems at all

only problems at ultra setting i see is cpu but it would not be much of a problem

i cant tell about the framerates or performance before relese or before actuall benchmarks

u might get around mid-high or even high-ultra if its very well optimised

for max performamce upgrade to a amd fx 8350 its about 150$ - 200$ im not sure bout the price
Doesn't look like your CPU meets the recommended specs (but I could be wrong, not too familiar with AMD naming convention these days), but that may or may not matter depending on how CPU-intensive it will be. A lot will also depend on what resolution you plan to play at. The 780 may not be enough to push ultra at 1440p and higher. Of course, that will all remain to be seen as the game hasn't been released yet, and the ultra setting wasn't available in previous test builds.

Sure you are gonna play at good settings but i do not think i would say ultra. CPU is a bit below the curve they are wanting. A few sources online stated that the pc version plays at ultra 1080p 60 FPS with a gtx 980.
