Hotspot connection issue

The first time I logged on to my friends hotspot it worked great. Now when I log on my ZTE Android 7.1.1 says connected with no internet access..I've tried resetting my WiFi , forgetting address and restarting phone. No change..

It could be their internet. It could be their hotspot settings.

It could also be that the device was blocked or limited by their carrier/service provider. Many carriers will slow down the data connection and block hotspot usage when you either have used more data than they want, or when you go over you limitation and the service goes down to 2g rather than 3 or 4.
