how can a text be sent from my phone that i know i did not send

i left my phone in the lounge while i made tea. a text was sent to my husband saying i cannot talk right now. He was out at the time and rang me to ask what i meant. I told him i haven't sent the text to which he replied that i must have. I know i did not send the text so who did?

Did you check the phone to see if there was any text message on it as sent?
