I have Toshiba M645-PMSPML and I want to boot it from usb. But there isn't any option in boot menu for usb boot it only shows HDD/CD-DVD/FDD/LAN. Is there any way I can do this?

Hmm... Stupid design of Toshiba. It has a FDD option which doesn't have FDD drive but no USB option.

From the user guide of a similar model (Satellite M645-SP4010L, I couldn't find your exact model):

"Turn on your computer. When the initial screen displays, press F12.
The boot menu displays."

Do you have "USB Flash" option?

Press M when starting.

I've found a manual ( http://fs.pc.toshiba-asia.com/drivers/public/doc/Satellite%20M640_M645%20UserGuide.exe ). It's a self-extracting exe, you'll get a pdf file after you let it run.

On page 7-3 it tells some interesting things. First, it says that there's a Windows application called TOSHIBA HWSetup, and you can manipulate Boot Priority settings from there. Note that on that screenshot it shows exactly the same four devices that you mentioned.

Then below the screenshot, there's a table, it says, press M at startup to boot from USB.

Hope this helps.

I tried. Nothing happens when I insert a boot-able USB and press M while booting. :( :(

Don't you have the user guide that you might have gotten with the computer? Maybe on a CD?

The one I found is actually for "Satellite M640/Satellite Pro M640 Series", and the filename said "M645", so that's why I thought it might be accurate, and I'm pretty sad it didn't work out.

It seems unlikely to me that your laptop doesn't support USB boot... there must be some setting somewhere... anyway, that's all I could help. Don't give up, if you get the proper user guide, I trust it will be there somewhere.
