That phone should be running Android 5.1 so there is no option to use the SdCard as anything other than Portable storage.

Therefore, put the micros SdCard in and choose files to move on to it using your File Manager. If that fails, try another - Root File Manager is a good one, free from the Play Store and you don't have to root the device to use it.
