Is there any possible means to connect And use the MacBook Pro screen as a monitor or tv with my cable box which supports hdmi

No you can't.
Your Mac doesn't have an HDMI input and any USB video card will not accept an HDCP encrypted input.

HDMI input box with USB might work but cable companies can get pretty picky over copyright protection and sometimes don't let those boxes work if their isn't a HDCP handshake, or will work but in low res only.
