How can I convert optical output to HDMI output?

I have an LG 42" TV (model 42LH30) and I want to hook up wireless headphones so that I can turn down/off the sound from the TV's speaker.

Which sound you want to control - TV or headphones?

Your TV has an optical audio output. Connect a bluetooth transmitter to it and pair your headphones with that. Check the TV manual on how to use the optical audio output.
