How can i find the country of smtp id

Hi I have received an email into a 'Live' account from a 'gmail' account for which I need to find the country of the user. The IP address only leads me to America which is where I believe gmail originates. I have an SMTP id ... can I find the country of origin from this? If so, how? .... any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Tks

There is no way to track down the origin of a Gmail email.

That is one advantage of using a web based email system: more anonymity.
