How can I get f keys to work on my gateway ms2285 laptop?

I have a gateway ms2285 laptop in which I cannot get the f keys to work. I have forgotten my admin log in password and am trying to do a factory reset but can not use
the fn nor f keys?

Hi,

Just read some forums on Gateway support site on how to do a Factory Reset with it. Just hold down ALT and keep on tapping F10 while booting up and it should take you to Gateway Restoration Management.
