How can I play music from my compact disc player through my home theater system?

I have an old fashion compact DVD player. I also have a home theater system which is connected to my pioneer amplifier. How can I play music through the theater system from my compact disc player?

To be clear you want to connect a CD player to your Pioneer receiver?
CD players have analog RCA audio output. Connect that to the aux analog audio input on the Pioneer. Check the Pioneer manual on how to configure the input.
