Solved! How can I tell if my Samsung Galaxy s7 edge has a virus?

Just today out of nowhere, my phone started to give me a popup saying something like "Unfortunately [app] has stopped working". These, to my knowledge, show when the app crashes. However, these popups are showing regardless of me accessing the apps or not. Additionally, every time I try and go into my settings to check the applications, my settings app also crashes. This popup is showing for random apps as well. I already tried restarting my phone. I already tried going into safe mode to force stop and delete the cache of the affected apps. At this point, I'm guessing my phone has malware, but MalwareBytes says otherwise. Should I just take my phone to the shop, factory reset it, or is there really malware on my phone?

probably something is faulty, like the SD card or other electronics in your phone, no malware
