how can i turn up the volume of my toshiba tecra?

I have tried every sound setting I can find to increase the sound, which is so low, I have a tough time hearing it. Is there something else I can do?

I'll assume you already know how to increase/decrease the volume in Windows by clicking the speaker icon at bottom-left of screen.

Try reinstalling the audio driver from the Toshiba website which serves your region/country:
